What is it?

Free writing
Ten minutes of writing done without stopping at the beginning of each class. No dictionaries.
To develop fluency.
Count the words. The more the better!
Grammar practice
Worksheets or sentence writing.
To develop accuracy.
Accuracy.
Guided writing
Copying a paragraph while making specific changes OR combining sentences in specific ways.
To develop accuracy. To become aware of paragraph organization.
Accuracy and speed.
First draft *
Handwritten paragraph or essay.
To use grammar and organization in original writing.

・Paragraph format.
・Accuracy (spelling and grammar).
・Organization of ideas.
・Message: something interesting to say

Final draft **
Typed paragraph or essay.
To revise and polish a piece of writing.

* First draft: This is handwritten on notebook paper. Skip every other line.
** Final draft: This is typed. Use "hankaku", not "zenkaku" spacing. Lines should have 1.5 spacing
