Here is a general timetable for writing the 4-credit senior paper or 8-credit senior thesis.

Bring in summary notes & references; review how to write reference list and do citations
8-credit senior thesis
By October 27 & 28
Students doing 8-credit senior thesis submit official title. Must submit 50% of completed work (4000 words) to instructor in order to get approval.
Write
October, November
Individual consultations about first draft
First draft and summary
By November 24 & 25

(1) Submit first draft (body of paper plus complete reference list).
(2) Submit one A4page summary for Humanities booklet (hard copy plus electronic copy).
(3) Student representative gest a printing estimate from the printer.

Final draft
First two weeks of December
Individual consultations on first draft
December 22

(1) Submit final draft (this will be graded)
(2) Pay printing fees
(3) Students decide on final format of thesis booklet

Winter break
Suzanne corrects the English on final draft.
Students relax....
Prepare for printing
Jan 12 & 13

Corrected final draft is returned to students.

January 19
Submit print-ready copies (number of students + 4 extra), plus printing and mailing costs
Late January
Student representative makes arrangements with printer and student affairs office to arrange for printing
Finish
Early February
Oral defense (8-credit senior thesis only)

Pick up printed booklets
